Danbury High School Inducts Students Into National Honor Society

DANBURY, Conn. – Danbury High School has inducted 54 students into its chapter of the National Honor Society.

The ceremony, held Monday, featured a performance of the "Star-Spangled Banner" by the school’s string orchestra and the Air Force JROTC Color Guard led the Pledge of Allegiance, according to a press release.

Thomas George, president of the school’s National Honor Society chapter, made the opening remarks.

Mayor Mark Boughton, Danbury Public Schools Deputy Superintendent William Glass, and Danbury High Principal Gary Bocaccio each gave brief remarks.

Danbury Public Schools Superintendent Sal Pascarella was also in attendance.

Stephanie Queiroz and Elise Tobin serve as advisers for Danbury High’s chapter of the National Honor Society.

Bocaccio also presented 10 students with book awards.
