The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced that the nighttime bridge project will take place on the parkway (Route 15) beginning on Monday, Sept. 17 in Norwalk. The closures are expected to take place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night, from Sept. 17 through Friday, Sept. 28.

During the project, motorists can expect lane closures in both directions in Norwalk between exit 38 (New Canaan Avenue) and Exit 39A (Route 7 South). While maintenance activity is ongoing, there will be flaggers in the area and posted signage to assist motorists and with the flow of traffic.

Officials said that the project consists of bridge maintenance work on the parkway both north and southbound lanes. The project is a part of the Department of Transportation’s 2018 bridge maintenance program to “support state forces with bridge repairs” and is being performed by Dynamic Surface Application.
