South Norwalk Bank Robbed; Police Hunt For Suspect NORWALK, Conn. — Norwalk police are searching for a suspect in the robbery of a bank in South Norwalk late Wednesday afternoon.The robbery at the Chase Bank at 50 Washington St. in SoNo was first reported at 3:56 p.m. Police said a white man in his 40s entered the bank and passed a note to a teller. He was able to steal an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing, according to police. Police were still searching the area as of 5:45 p.m. The Detective Bureau is investigating the case. Norwalk Police Charge Bridgeport Man With Leaving Threatening Voice Mail NORWALK, Conn. — A 25-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested after he left a threatening and vulgar voice mail, Norwalk police said. The victim called police Wednesday to report that Jayquann McKinney had left her a vulgar voice mail. The voice mail was in an aggressive tone and included threats of physical violence, police said. The victim played the voice mail for a police officer, who made contact with McKinney, police said. McKinney was charged with second-degree threatening and second-degree harassment. He was released on a promise to appear with a court date of June 30, police said.
