South Norwalk Bank Robbed; Police Hunt For Suspect NORWALK, Conn. — Norwalk police are searching for a suspect in the robbery of a bank in South Norwalk late Wednesday afternoon.The robbery at the Chase Bank at 50 Washington St. in SoNo was first reported at 3:56 p.m. Police said a white man in his 40s entered the bank and passed a note to a teller. He was able to steal an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing, according to police. Police were still searching the area as of 5:45 p.m. The Detective Bureau is investigating the case. Construction Detours Traffic on Calf Pasture Beach Road in Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. — Drivers looking to catch some rays will find a new route to and from Calf Pasture Beach Wednesday. Due to paving, drivers heading south to the beach are using the northbound side of the road. Police are detouring drivers headed north onto Canfield Avenue.

Luxury Apartments Coming Into Their 'Element' in Downtown Stamford STAMFORD, Conn. — Construction is moving along on a 175-unit luxury apartment building set to open this fall in downtown Stamford. The building, Element One, will have 90 one-bedroom units and 85 two-bedroom units. It will also house 5,000 square feet of amenity space and a 4,000-square-foot shared roof-deck overlooking downtown. It is located on Morgan Street near the Tully Health Center and across the street from the existing Fairfield Apartments. Norwalk Police Charge Bridgeport Man With Leaving Threatening Voice Mail NORWALK, Conn. — A 25-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested after he left a threatening and vulgar voice mail, Norwalk police said. The victim called police Wednesday to report that Jayquann McKinney had left her a vulgar voice mail. The voice mail was in an aggressive tone and included threats of physical violence, police said. The victim played the voice mail for a police officer, who made contact with McKinney, police said. McKinney was charged with second-degree threatening and second-degree harassment. He was released on a promise to appear with a court date of June 30, police said.
